The Irish theatre festival experience of a lifetime is coming to New York City this April! Theatre lovers across the US are invited to join the Celtic Junction Arts Center for an immersive journey into the vibrant world of Irish drama from 3rd to 6th April 2025.

Hosted in collaboration with Origin Theatre Company, this exclusive event promises an extraordinary deep dive into Irish storytelling, featuring five live performances, intimate artist meet-and-greets, and social gatherings in some of Manhattan’s top venues.

A Cultural Journey Through Irish Theatre

This four-day festival will be led by Natalie Nugent O’Shea, Executive Director of Celtic Junction Arts Center and a former NYC theatre professional. She will guide participants through a curated itinerary that highlights both established and emerging voices in Irish theatre. Guests will also meet Mick Mellamphy, acclaimed actor and founder of Origin Theatre, who will provide unique insights into the Irish theatre scene in the US.

Attendees will stay at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel, a boutique Irish-owned hotel on Lexington Avenue, owned by John Fitzpatrick, former Ireland Funds President and an honouree of the Irish Echo Person of the Year.

    Festival Highlights & Performances

    The festival’s packed itinerary includes:

    • Irishtown – A play by Irish playwright Ciara Elizabeth Smyth, performed at the Irish Repertory Theatre.
    • Shelter – A reading by Irish-Canadian playwright John Doyle at the American Irish Historical Society.
    • Fishamble: The New Play Company – A full day dedicated to contemporary Irish theatre, featuring:
      • In Two Minds by Joanne Ryan
      • Fight Night by Gavin Kostick, both staged at 59E59 Theaters.
    • Breezy Point – A matinee performance of this Irish-American drama by Rosie Coursey, concluding the festival on a high note.

Beyond the performances, attendees will enjoy post-show discussions, artist receptions, and engaging talks with playwrights and theatre professionals, offering a social and enriching theatre experience.

    Booking Details & Pricing

The festival package is priced at €790 per person, covering:
✔ Tickets to all five performances
✔ Exclusive group meals at Manhattan’s finest restaurants
✔ Meet-and-greet opportunities with actors and playwrights

Accommodation: Special hotel rates are available at Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel. Rooms must be booked separately through the hotel.
